FEBRUARY 24-28, 2008

Pacific Domes was at the Catersource 2008 Event Solutions Idea Factory trade show in February. This show, held at the Las Vegas Convention Center, was another opportunity for us to present our trend-setting product.

We set up a 24 ft. Dome, that was furnished with our custom designed “Spacebar,” to show how our product creates cutting-edge events.

JANUARY 24-27, 2008

The cocktail reception, for the 2008 International Aid + Trade Event, was held inside a 44 ft. Pacific Dome at the PALEXPO in Geneva, Switzerland. It was a huge hit and it gave attendees a unique place to unwind, enjoy a drink, and interact with other members of the humanitarian community. Aid + Trade is an international platform that creates partnerships between aid agencies, UN organizations, business and government with the goal of providing coordinated relief to people in disaster areas all over the world.

JANUARY 16-18, 2008

Booth #249 was very popular this year at the Special Event Trade Show in Atlanta. It was where Pacific Domes was exhibiting a 20 ft. Event Dome that featured a powder-coated frame, a Rola-trac floor system and a custom designed “Spacebar” (designed by Jason Weade, our in-house industrial designer).

We had great results, including positive feedback from a number of people from the East Coast who had never seen or been in one of our domes before. We expect that this will generate more business in that part of the country. We were even voted “Best in Show” by an association in Las Vegas!

JANUARY 5-6, 2008

In January we had a 44 ft. Dome in the Swiss Alps. Our Dome served as the VIP viewing area for the World Cup ski event, which attracted over 34,000 spectators this year - a new record!

DECEMBER 15, 2007

Ernst & Young (Poland), a leading international, professional advisory services company, held their private Christmas party in Warsaw this past December.

We provided four 60 ft. Domes and one 30 ft. Dome that were all connected and colorfully lit.

The festive Domes made a really unique atmosphere in which to entertain.

DECEMBER 15, 2007

Adobe celebrated its 25th anniversary this past December with a huge party in San Jose, California.

The band “Smash Mouth” made a surprise appearance and rocked the house. For this holiday season event, we provided a 30 ft. Dome, set up on a riser, which was used to feature a new interactive, graphics projection system that was being showcased to Adobe employees.

DECEMBER 7-8, 2007

Google, once again, went all out for its annual Holiday Party (photos by Ken Tidwell).

This extravagant event was held at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California, and was attended by close to 11,000 people. It was so large that it had to be split into two evenings. Pacific Domes provided two Lycra Domes that were suspended from the ceiling with projectors inside, creating festive lighting effects. One of the Domes hung over the DJ, who was on a raised platform, rocking it out in the center of the room.

Dome structures are popping up in outdoor event designs more frequently because they provide a completely different look and feel than traditional tents-and clients are always on the lookout for a way to stand out from the crowd in a live setting. Inflatable dome structures with no hard framework are just beginning to make their way to the U.S. from Europe. The fact that many dome structures can be linked together via corridors, and that they can be branded inside and out with graphics is leading more designers to think domes when designing (primarily) outdoor event environments. At Pacific Domes we received a letter dated October 9th, 2007 congratulating our company on being a “2007 International Achievement Awards competition winner!” We received an “Award of Excellence” for a retail project we installed in Plainsfield, Indiana - “Premier Properties, Metropolis Mall.”

The 2007 “Award of Excellence” winner in the tent manufacturing category is a series of three vinyl domes, measuring 60 feet, 44 feet and 36 feet, designed for Metropolis Mall in Plainview, Ind., and created by Pacific Domes, Ashland, Oregon.

Similarly Pacific Domes won an Award of Excellence in 2002 for the Treasure Island wedding.

Virgin Festival is a rock festival held in the United States and Canada. On June 30, 2006, Virgin Group chief Richard Branson announced the inaugural shows. The first, which took place September 9 and 10, 2006 at Toronto Islands Park, Toronto, Canada, featured over 40 artists. A single-day show also took place in Baltimore, Maryland, United States, on September 23, 2006, at the Pimlico Race Course with the Red Hot Chili Peppers and The Who.

Virgin Festival 2007 took place in Vancouver on May 20 and 21, as well as a return to Baltimore for an expanded two-day event on August 4 and 5 and Toronto on September 8 and 9.

As you can see on the aerial view above, Pacific Domes provided four domes for the massive event in Baltimore, Maryland this year equipped with multi-media and projection art.

Jazz never sounded or looked so good in a Pacific Dome at the Sapporo City Jazz festival. Dozens of artists performed for this annual event. This is the first of music concerts to be held in many concert and projection domes throughout Japan.

This 90′ diameter dome is huge, as you can see by the people in contrast with the dome, with an internal floor space of 6,100 sq.ft and standing 45′ tall at the center, as tall a 4 1/2 story building.

One of our largest domes ever this 90′ diameter Pacific Dome is host to the Sapporo City Jazz festival in Japan.

For the launch of Pacific Domes Deustchland a 60′ diameter dome was erected adjacent to Messe Berlin.
